Turncrafter Commander Tailspinner features a Live Tailstock; Tailstock spindle is identical to Headstock spindle with 1" x 8tpi threads and #2 Morse Taper mounting capabilities; Any chuck, center, faceplate, or other accessories can operate as live on the Tailspinner tailstock; Ability to lock the Live Tailstock spindle with the turn of a handle to convert to a traditional lathe's tailstock function. Great for bowl turning; Remount wood blank without fear of misalignment; No need to re-chuck your blank; Leave your faceplate or chuck attached when reversing a bowl blank keeping the bowl exactly centered on the lathe axis; Identical tailstock and headstock means you can mount your work, flip it around, and then flip it back again.
