Because of its high transverse rupture strength and fine grain structure, DURA-MAX 2000 performs well with interrupted cuts. TiCN is a multi-layer, PVD coating for cutting abrasive and difficult to machine materials such as aluminum, brass, bronze, copper and cast iron. TiCN provides excellent wear resistance and allows increased cutting rates. TiCN is harder and more impact resistant than TiN.
